Beep Beep Beep ("the app", "we", "us") is an iOS application designed as a precision start clock for sailing races and similar timed events. It synchronises to GPS time and plays audio signals at configurable intervals.
This Privacy Policy explains what data the app accesses, how it is used, and what rights you have.
By using Beep Beep Beep, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
Beep Beep Beep requests When In Use location access solely to obtain the timestamp of the GPS fix. The app reads the time embedded in the satellite signal (CLLocation.timestamp) to synchronise its internal clock with GPS time. No geographic coordinates, routes, or movement data are recorded, stored, or transmitted by the app.

You can deny location permission and the app will fall back to NTP or device clock.
When GPS is unavailable or permission is not granted, the app queries public NTP servers to synchronise its clock. NTP is a standard internet time protocol; no personal data is included in NTP packets. As with any internet request, NTP servers receive your device's IP address.
User preferences (start interval, beep pitch, display font, etc.) are stored locally in iOS UserDefaults. This data never leaves your device.

All processing happens on your device. Beep Beep Beep does not operate its own servers and does not transmit personal data.
Beep Beep Beep does not share personal data with any third parties. The only external communication is standard NTP time queries to public time servers (e.g. Apple's time.apple.com), which are anonymous by design.

No personal data is stored. Deleting the app removes all locally stored settings from the device.
Because Beep Beep Beep does not collect or process personal data beyond what is described in section 2.2 (IP address sent to public NTP servers as a technical necessity), there is minimal GDPR exposure. No data subject rights requests are applicable to data the app does not hold.

Beep Beep Beep does not sell or share personal data as defined under CCPA/CPRA.
The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU). It contains no account creation, social features, advertising, or in-app purchases.
We may update this policy from time to time. The revision date above will be updated accordingly. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
